Province Knockout

An Ayr and Alloway rink comprising Liz Tait, Linda Wilson and Allan Chapman skipped by Neil Beattie came up against a strong Dundonald rink skipped by Jennifer Mutter in the Ayrshire Province KO on 19th February. In the each of the first 2 ends Dundonald scored 2 shots. In end 3 A&A recorded a single to get on the scoreboard at 1-4. The habit of Dundonald scoring doubles continued in ends 4 and a 5 to stretch their lead out to 8-1. A&A battled on and scored 2 in end 6 however Dundonald closed out with a further double in the final end to run out 10-3 winners. The front end of the A&A rink Liz and Linda played extremely well however a few loose shots at third meant that Neil was left with some rather tricky shots. All agreed however that the game was very enjoyable and played in an excellent spirit.
