Province Knockout

Ayr and Alloway were drawn in the preliminary round of the Province Knockout, against Dalmellington, played on 2 February 2026. AACC rink was Charlie Steele (skip), David Gray, Ken Ireland and Ed Baines.

Dalmellington is always a tough game,  represented by Margaret White (skip), Mara Lindsay, David McIntyre and Lilian McIntyre. They took a single in the first end, but AACC struck back with a single followed by a useful three in the third. Building on that with another single, AACC's comfortable position was dashed by losing a four in the next end to level the score.

However a good one in the sixth meant AACC had to steal in the last end to hold on to their slender lead. David Gray played a superb draw to the button with a Dalmellington stone lying behind to lock it. Margaret's final attempt to come off a wing stone just failed and AACC won 7 - 5, to set up the next round against Fairywell.
