Ayr and Alloway only managed to field one rink for Opening Day on 28 Sept 2020, but perhaps quality counts over quantity, as they went on to win Session 2, with an impressive 11 shot victory (13-2). The rink was Charlie Steele, John Macleod, Hugh Kennedy and Ken Ireland.

The first ever "virtual "AGM was held on 25 March 2020. Secretary Alan circulated a number of papers by email on 18 March 2020 viz. President's Report, Treasurer's Report, Secretary's Report and Match Secretary's Report.

Ayr Curling Club are very confident that curling will go ahead this season, with a scheduled Opeing Day on 28 September 2020.

First of all a big thanks to all who have donated to the painting fund and all who have volunteered to help.

Scottish Curling have produced a document, dated 11 June 2020, on how curling may be played. The earliest possible start would be in Phase 3 of the Scottish Government's Route Map.

The Club's annual Pairs competition took place at Ayr Ice Rink on Wednesday 4th March 2020. The event was well supported with 8 pairs taking to the ice allowing a straight knockout format starting with quarter finals. The game format was slightly changed from previous years with the curlers delivering 4 stones at each of the 3 ends.

An Ayr and Alloway rink comprising Liz Tait, Linda Wilson and Allan Chapman skipped by Neil Beattie came up against a strong Dundonald rink skipped by Jennifer Mutter in the Ayrshire Province KO on 19th February. This season's Points competition took place on Thursday 6 February.
